In addition, you will make an impact in this role by…

·       Managing the group tax reporting and forecasting processes, reviewing submissions from OpCos and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely tax provisions and statutory disclosure notes.

·       Managing the BA and Avios tax reporting and forecasting processes ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely tax provisions and statutory disclosure notes.

·       Reviewing UK corporate tax returns produced by out-sourced service providers and the tax accountant based in Krakow, Poland.

·       Ensuring best practice and continuous improvement of the group and OpCo tax reporting and forecasting processes and the UK corporate tax return processes, seeking automation and standardization.

·       Following established ICFR procedures and keep them up to date.

·       Providing input to Group Tax to support tax authority audit defence strategies.

To achieve in this role, you are likely to have… 

·       Qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor with a proven track record of managing tax reporting within a FTSE 100 or equivalent company, or equivalent experience in a Big Four tax audit environment.

·       Detailed knowledge of IAS12 and IFRS.

·       Excellent internal and external stakeholder management and engagement.

·       Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain the tax reporting and forecasting position of the Group.

·       PC literate with excellent Excel skills and high numeracy to facilitate working with and the development of tax compliance and reporting software.

·       Ability to work on own initiative and accurately under pressure in a real time operational environment.

·       Experience in providing support, guidance and assistance to team members.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills.

·       Head of Tax Risk & Reporting

·       Group Head of Tax and OpCo Tax leads

·       Finance colleagues involved in the reporting and forecasting processes

·       Tax team based in the group business services centre in Krakow, Poland, including the tax accountant.

·       External auditors.

·       Group and OpCo Tax leads responsible for delivering tax compliance.

·       Tax authorities in the UK.

·       External advisers when necessary.

·       BA and Avios corporate tax senior manager
